The Dangers Of Superglue!

Well as I'm going to upgrade my shrimpery soon and use black sand I thought I'd better get some plants on the go. Got everything set up. Successfully glued some little java fern plants to a nice black pebble I picked up off Brighton beach. Waited a while for the glue to dry, then picked it up to put it in the plant tank, went to let go of the stone and guess what?   

Yup. I now had a java fern covered pebble firmly glued to my thumb and 2 fingers and nothing to remove it! A couple of one handed phone calls later and I found a friend with some adhesive remover. A friend who almost peed their pants laughing when I turned up on their doorstep with my new best buddy Rocky and a water spray (to stop the java ferns drying out). If she mentions it on facebook I may need to kill her.

I'm so glad that I'm in good company with others who do exactly the type of thing that I thought only happened to me. 

Hehehehehe I wasn't going to let all that hard work go to waste.

I've never actually successfully managed to tie plants to rounded pebbles, which is why I went with the superglue option.

I did feel a right twit!
