To good to be true?

Hi

Not sure if in right place but got a question about prices. Although I am thinking of a second hand tank I have noticed the Fluval Roma 200 in a few shops at £443 in the sales. However on the pets at home website it is only £350. Now I always worry as always think that if it looks too good to be true it is, but all seems right .Could someone let me know if I am missing something?

https://www.petsathome.com/shop/en/pets/fluval-roma-200-litre-aquarium-with-led-lighting-oak-finish

Thanks.

David

I'd say this is a good bargain if you're managing to get a branded tank at that price .v. the other prices elsewhere. [It's possible that the tank is an older model - I haven't looked to see - but, equally possible that it's simply a matter of PAH being able to sell it for cheaper.] Even if it were an older model, I'd be very tempted to go for it ASAP!

yeah agree, I've got the Roma 240 and love it, so easy to maintain - being able to take all the lid panels off.

You might not be interested but you can buy a lid panel with a profeed hole, which is great for automatic feeders. I ended up replacing both my lids so I've got two holes one to drop flake and one for granules, great when I'm away on holiday.

They are a bit of a luxury but if you do need to use automatic feeders I think it's worth it. Here's a link but worth shopping around for them.

I've checked the link and that is the newer version of the Roma 200. The older version has black handles on the doors, so an absolute bargain.

I agree with Lynne, the lids of the Roma tanks makes using them so easy.  :)

Thanks for all the replies, very helpful. Nearly changed my mind and went for the smaller 125l, as I have two that size already, however they will only deliver bigger one to room of my choice, which with it being upstairs, will be very helpful.

Always go for the bigger tank if you have the space for it.
Larger tanks give more scope for larger fish, or greater numbers of smaller fish.  :)

Concur wholeheartedly - if you didn't, I can confidently say that you'd regret it later.
