Hi
I'm in a hard water area, and a link to hard water fish was suggested on the forum, thanks again for that.
So I've finally got round to looking at this link in detail and I have started to check out the various options.
A number of things have come up so far.......
The orange Chromide looks interesting, the info sheet says they should have a low concentration of salt equivalent to "about 4 grammes of salt per litre". But how would the addition of salt affect my other fish?
These are
4 penguin tetras, 1 red phantom tetra, 2 baby copper harlequins, 1 kholi loach, 1 bristlenose( I think he/she is still there) , 6 japonica shrimps, 3 zebra snails, 1 rabbit snail.
Is it a complete non starter?
Cichlids also look interesting but I was put off by the statement that they can be territorial, advising against very small tank mates, here I'm thinking of my two young harlequins approx less than 2 cm. The link also says they do well with larger fish like sailfish mollies. I had tried these beautiful mollies about three years ago but sadly i was not successful. So I'm very reluctant to go down that road again, unless there was something basic I was missing.
I'll carry on looking into other possibilities on the fact sheet, but any advice or info on the above would be really helpful.
Many thanks
