The last few attempts I've had at attaching photos to my posts have resulted in them displaying upside down.
Has anyone else had this problem ?
Can't understand what I'm doing wrong.
I even inverted a photo and sent it. This displayed correctly (upside down) bizarre.

Last time I posted a photo it was the right way up.

I'll see what mine do now. A photo of 2 snails taken a few years ago

Hmmm, that's the right way up. All I did was use the attachments thing below the reply box and used browse to select the image using a Windows 10 laptop which sounds the same as what you've been doing.

Not on here but I've had a problem with photos being sideways on a well-known social media platform despite them being fine on the computer itself - I've ended up rotating them accordingly, uploading them, then reverting the rotation on my computer back to normal.

Looking back at my saltwater thread, I’ve had a few come in on their side compared to how my iPhone displays them but never upside down. I know that doesn’t help but it doesn’t look like you are necessarily the only one with the issues! I’m also wondering if it’s an apple compatability thing...

I’m pretty sure it’s an iPad issue. I’m going to try editing / saving the files on my laptop. I think that might solve the problem.

I’ve just inverted a picture on the iPad. If this is the right way up it’ll prove my theory was correct.

You said in your Tanganyika tank thread that you'd also downloaded photos from your laptop

I copied the files directly from the iPad to the Laptop without modification. I am assuming that they would be identical to the original and would therefore have the same issue.
I have now reduced the size of one of the files using paint on the laptop. I will attach that to see if the modified file works.

That worked. Don't understand why the iPad version didn't. Something to do with the metadata in the file possibly.
