Hello
Just a heads up.
We have been experiencing intermittent email delivery issues.
If you can read this email on your computer, then maybe I've solved the issue, if you can't then it's moot, but it would be great if you could nip across to this thread and let me know if you have received an email!
Emails are so important to users looking for answers to their issues, so any insights here from people out there is massively helpful in enabling me to get to the root of the issue.
Thanks so much in advance!

Hi Robert,
Yes, I also received your email. It's good to hear from you. I hope everyone is well. Now that I'm here, I'll have a look around.
All the very best,
JPC

Yep got email

I received the email but it was treated as spam because it failed SPF verification with an SPF "Soft Fail" condition.
All rather technical, but this is to do with a mismatch between DNS entries on your domain and the email servers used.
This could cause the email to be treated as spam or blocked completely, depending on the receiving systems settings.
Perhaps this is connected with your initial problems? Or it could be a complete red herring.

Hi Stegs, yes indeed - I’ve switched to cloudflare and from what I’d read, it’s supposedly all sorted. I don’t know if there’s a legacy of sorts, but perhaps that’s where that soft fail spf stuff arises from.
The core non forum domain was a shared ip that had been blocked by various spam collation orgs which in part, drove the need to unplug the mx records and resolve, hence cloudflare
The fact people are receiving emails now is a plus, but I’ll re review and make sure it’s as it should be.
Such a pain, it shouldn’t be this hard >:( ;D
Thanks again!
