hi all im james thought i best say hi im not new to tropical fish but i am new to the forum and doing it on my own The last had a tank with my dad 4+ years ago i have kept fish since i was a child but never in a tank of this size this is my first venture on my own in to tropical fish keeping as a (espensive) 30th birthday present by my other half ,parents and my self.

after seeing one tank nothing compared to the look of this it looks like a piece of furniture with a fishtank on top rather than a fishtank balanced on some planks of wood
i hate it when u see something and keep going back to it knowing you will regret not getting that first one.

so i didn't  and i went for that first one

i went for a  Aquaoak 200l tank from Maidenhead Aquatics

this is my setup day one

and this is it setup a few days later waiting for fish

Welcome James (again).... that's a good lookin' tank! I know what you mean about tank stands - a bit of oak-effect chipboard looks really out of place when you've got some decent furniture. MrsB rather likes those MA tanks..... especially the one with the built-in wine racks.  :))

oooo - talking of which..... it's past 6 o'clock on a Friday evening, I might just pop a cork. A glass of red would go down well just at the mo'.
