Title: What is the white goo in my aquarium? SOLVED
Post by: tracymeg on December 11, 2015, 07:57:05 AM
Hi guys. In the new tank that is at the start of its fishless cycle I have a mangrove I believe. Its growing some white/clear goo. Is this bad ?? I've rinsed it with boiling water and I'm thinking I might take it out and boil it. What do you all think ??

Mine did this. It was fungus and it was harmless. It went away on its own after a while.

I believe Plecs and Otos are supposed to love eating it .

Thankyou Simon. Have sine looked at other forums and they say the same thing.
A relief to be honest although it looks a bit grim x
