Possible Constipation In Danio

Hi there, just seeing if anyone has any suggestions for helping my danio. For a couple of weeks now she seemed to be getting bigger. At first I put it down to being full of eggs but it has been going on too long now, and I haven't seen her poop in that time. I have had her in a hospital tank for 48 hours and have tried the blanched pea treatment but she refuses to eat it, still no poop. Does anyone have any ideas about constipation treatment or do you think it could be a swim bladder problem causing the constipation ( or vice versa) any advice would be great fully received by the danio and myself as she looks like she's going to pop poor thing.

Just to check - do the danio's scales stick out like a pine cone? If they do, the fish has dropsy which is very difficult to cure as you first need to identify the underlying disease.

But hopefully it isn't dropsy, and yes you could try daphnia to treat constipation, either live or frozen. Dried could make things worse though.

It is usually constipation that causes swim bladder problems by the enlarged bowel pressing on the swim bladder.
