I was transferring my Bristlenose Plec from one tank to another. Now he is stuck to the net. The net is turned insideout, but he is stuck to it. Is he just holding on or are his bristles stuck to it? I don't like to push his head too much incase I hurt him.
I'm not sure what to do.
Help!!!!!

I managed to free him. He was stuck and not holding on.

Phew! It's awful when that happens! I couldn't get one of my endlers out the net for ages when I first got them

Yeah, I really did panic. He is probably my most timid fish. He used to hide when I approached the tank and it ended up with me holding him and trying to untangle him. He seems OK luckily. I hope I don't have to move him again.

Glad your panic is over and that all seems ok :) I have to admit, (though I'll probably get told off by someone for doing it :-\ ) I tend to use a large teacup for catching my fish if need be. This is because when I was reading up on bettas ages ago, it said that using a net for them was not a good idea as they can get snagged. So, that was how I always caught Rafe. Then I read that corys also can get hurt and caught by their little spines if you use a net. I haven't had to catch one of them yet, but if I do, it will be by the cup method. I have only used my net for picking out any dead fish :(

I won't tell you off for using the teacup provided it is spotless without any detegent on it ;D
Other people use bags, the same type the fish shop uses or glass jars. The advantage with them is they are transparent. A fish being chased into one by a net probably won't see the bag/jar till it's too late.

It is absolutely spotless, and I only use it for fishies....not the vicars tea, or anything. I don't use any detergent on it, just scald it out with boiling water, but the glass jar method sounds a good idea....might try that :)

I use a big glass jug, the same one I use for water changes, though thankfully I've only ever had to use it twice for the fish. I keep it clean because I use it to put the clean water back into the tank, and because I'm scared of hurting my fish chasing them with a net lol. :)

Good ideas. I use a clear plastic container because it makes much less noise if I knock it against the side of the glass tank. I think that's better for the fishes..... and safer for the tank!

All sensible suggestions! I just wish my tank was actually a sensible size!
