How refreshing to hear of an LFS that takes a customer seriously and has the sense and responsibility to act on a suggestion and follow it up!

Hopefully this is you coming out of the worst of this experience Sue. Of course you wouldn't want to have to replace fish in this way, but at least you'll have a nice fish-shopping outing to look forward to.

I'll be interested to hear about these new products by eSHA and the other company. please keep us posted. :)

Yes I'll be interested in what Esha say too as I can never find the active ingredients for their products on their website!!!  I wanted to know what was in their plant food before I buy a different one ina case it's all much of a muchness!!!!

Having knowledgeable staff who listen to you is noce. The chap in MA that sold me my poorly phantomes was very nice too.

I was in the middle of a water change this morning when the chap from the shop phoned (see my last post)

They had a delivery of eHSa-ndx late yesterday and the active ingredient is levamisole hydrochloride, which he thinks is the stuff in the pigeon wormer they used at his last shop. According to google, a lot of sites say it is the best medication for camallanus worms (though others others say fenbendazole). And a lot of sites say these two are impossible to get hold of in the UK so knowing that eSHa-ndx contains levamisole is very useful.

He has also been looking at the current fish stock and can't see signs of worms in any fish.

I am so thankful  that I always clean the kitchen tanks before the main one. I have been using separate equipment since I first saw the worms but I could so easily have passed it on before I saw them if I'd done this tank first. The treatment would have wiped out the cherry shrimps in my 50 litre tank.
