Hi All,

Anyone know any LFS who regularly stock these in the Lancashire area? I seem to be able to purchase them online but would rather check the shop out before buying.

I’m based in Lancashire and I’ve seen them stocked but not regularly. Your best bet would be to contact the Maidenhead aquatics stores you can get to easily via Facebook messenger asking if they have them in stock. I normally get a response within 24 hours, often a lot quicker during the week.

Thank you, I'll have a drive over this weekend.
Listed as Wild any cons? My tap water is 6.8 but will these guys require it lower if they have come from a south American stream rather than breed in captivity? Or are they labelled as such so people can make a moral choice?

I would think they’ll be fine. They’re not the most demanding species (they’re from Lake Valencia in Venezuela which is a polluted lake).

Also Leyland’s water will be the same as yours? Anything under 7 and not too hard should be good for them...
