Hi,  how do you all put your tank backgrounds on I've just got a new one and it just keeps coming unstuck I'm using water as usual and a card to get the bubbles out but by a few days those bubbles just come back
Thanks Kim

I have used two methods.
For those tanks with a close fitting trip at the top and bottom of the tank I just slide the backing under the trim. It has to be cut to just the right size though, taking slivers off here and there to get a perfect fit.
For tanks without a trim I use sellotape on the top edge. Not very high tech but it works. However this does mean that the background is not tight against the glass.

I use Jewel poster fix.
I still get the occassional bubble, and sometimes use double-sided tape at the edges as well.

Use cooking oil instead of water and you won't have the problem with the water evaporating after a few days ;) no problems with bubbles either

Thank you all for replying  :)
my old one was on forever with no problem but i fancied a change lol
This new one just refuses to stay down grrr >:(
I may have to resort to the old tape method or try the jewel poster fix..... although I've read mixed reviews about it :)

I just fit mine with Sellotape on the outside of the tank. I like the cooking oil idea.

Tape (any) round the edges. That plasticy-clothy tape works really well.

I have given up on the background it was just so crinkley where it had dried it wasn't gonna stick even with Vaseline.
I've ordered some of the frosted sick on stuff for windows which you can get in colours I've ordered a blue and a black one depending on which looks better :)

I have a 4' Fluval Roma tank. I've got my background tucked into the top trim with a strip of double sided tape at each end. As Sue said, it's not tight against the back, but because it is a planted background and I have a planted tank, it doesn't show at all.
