Hello everyone!
New Member here, I have been a fresh water keeper for a long time (25 years roughly) but by no means am I an expert.
I have tried saltwater three times and haven not been successful, so I have went back to freshwater and I am pleased to report I am doing pretty good, I know the fish are happy about that. :fishy1:
I look forward to hearing from y’all and learning as much as I can.
I am in the USA in the South, the state of Georgia.... please pardon the southern accent y’all.
Y’all = you all (addressing a group)
Fixin = I am about to do something (I am fixing to go the store, or I am fixing dinner)
Big Ole = Something large and old (Turn right by the big ole oak tree)
Over Yonder = over there... but yonder could be the other side of the room or the other side of the street.
Bless your heart = this can be a tricky one.... if we mean it sweet... its an expression of fondness or sympathy for someone. However, its also been used as precursor to an insult to soften the blow.
Kiss My grits = Kiss my butt, but again it can be tricky...if we are playing with you (joking around) its a simple kiss my butt, however if its meant to be an insult its “you can kiss my A**”
LOL! All in good fun y’all.... I love to laugh and be good to people, Life is too short to be mean, hateful and mad all the time.
God Bless!

Hi, welcome to the forum
Now come the questions:
How many tanks?
What size?
What fish?
Where are the photos?
We are a nosey bunch so we want all the details please ;D
-
Welcome  and looking forward to reading/seeing photos in response to Sue's questions which are the same as my questions would be. :D

Thanks you two!
Okay currently I have a 45 Pentagon shape (corner) fresh water tank with a 200 gallon 525gph canister filter.
(I realize its an over kill but it works really well once its been cycled, it allows me to keep more fish and my water has always been spot on with readings and a breeze to clean)
2- Small Marbled Angels
2- Small Ram Cichlids
2- Blue Dwarf Grourami
2- Diamond Tetra
7- Black Skirt Tetras
I do realize that once these fish grow I will need to upgrade the tank size.... shhh thats all in my master plan ;D
I also have a 10 gallon fresh water with a large red Betta Name “Big AL“ just a hang off the back filter, heater.
I had recently sold my 32 gallon BioCube (it was an algae farm) I think the LED lights were just to bright and I was fighting algae for a year or so but only in this tank....I got the BioCube to try saltwater but after two failed attempts and fighting the algae I gave up and sold it.
I can’t seem to post more than one picture so I will have to post the pictures separately.

Well, I do apologize....I can’t attach any pictures it’s probably because I am a new subscriber?
Once I can I will come back here and share :)
(I did see the requirements on phots and I am below that)
So we will see after I post at least 10 post
I will be stalking ALL of you and gaining as much knowledge as I can squeeze out...lol!
Have a Bless Day!

There's a limit in terms of the number of images you can attach per post (6 I believe) but I'm not familar with a post number limitation other than for people not logged in...
You need to ensure images are kept to a reasonable size. if they are too big, they will get rejected so try to keep them at around 1mb most (usually more than ample) you can optimise image sizes using a tool like the one here for instance https://imagecompressor.com/ (https://imagecompressor.com/)
Apologies in any case @SusieQ let me know if the issue persists after checking file sizes and I'll dig in deeper!
Welcome!

Here is Big AL !
He is in his own 10 gallon tank

Okay I finally figured it out... I have to use two apps to get these photos to upload...
1. To shrink size (DPI)
2. To covert it to PNG
Then it finally loaded :) I will research to see if I can ONE ISO app that will work.... lol!
Next we have the other members of the family.... I tried to get up close and personal with my tank but each picture was blurry (fish are too fast)
So I had to locate fish that look exactly like my water babies on Google. :fishy1:
1. Marble Angels (2 but not sure of sex of either) Pretty young on the smaller side
2. German Blue Ram (Male and Female) pretty young (just starting to get their color)
3. Blue Dwarf Gourami (I think they are 2 males) Pretty young
4. Diamond Tetras (Not sure of the sex of either) Medium size
5. Black skirted Tetras (7 not sure of the sex of any) Small, Med and Larger
All seem to be doing well and planing on getting a bigger tank once these girls and boys grow a little ;)
I will post a video so you can see the actual fish if I can get the video to upload ;D

Main Tank 1
Please excuse the bright plastic plants.... I needed something in there for the fish...trying to find some taller live plants that are healthy locally.
I do have a piece of driftwood with some Anubias growing on it and some philodendron in the top of the tank.

Great to hear more about your fish and meet Big Al.
I always struggle to take pics of most of my faster fish, everything is just a blur. :-[
