Just saying a quick hi  :) Just signed up  :)

I'm almost a beginner in fish keeping, I know a little but not a lot, so looking forward to learning much, much more with you guys  :D

I have a 60x30x30 tank (currently cycling) and I have very recently just bought an additonal tank approx 100L (don't know dimensions yet as I haven't measured - in bed now, will measure another time  :P). Obviously no fish at present.

Look forward to speaking to you all soon.

Hi @ID2 beginner myself, I also have a 60l although I've my fish in for two weeks now.  I'm picking up a 120 at the weekend. Its very addictive this fishkeeping.

Hi @ID2  and welcome to the forum.

I agree with @Wil7985  and am issuing a warning - it is VERY addictive. I only started becoming interested in fish 12 months ago, and became addicted very quickly. There is such widespread tank chaos here that I can't even update my signature until my next 2 tanks are delivered.  :o  So be careful.  ;D

Always great to have new people here.  :)

Welcome to the forum, ID2. I've managed to keep to just the one tank for ~5 years, so it is possible to resist the urge... the nearest fish shop is 40 miles away so it's much easier for me.

Welcome, ID2

Your smaller tank is of the same dimensions as mine. A good plan, while the fishless cycle is underway, is to have a look at your water/utility company's website to find out how hard your water is - there ought to be a section which gives specific readings in degrees Clark, French or German, and, from that, it then makes it easier to draw up shortlists of fish suitable for your water parameters. Hope this tip is useful. :)

Looking forward to hearing how the tanks progress.

Hi All, useful tips already :)

Hi fcmf, Just so you know, I'm 'Aero'. Nice to speak to you on here  :)

EDIT: I only bought my new tank because it was a bargain! Its a Fluval Roma 125 and I bought it for £25 - couldn't leave it there.  All in working order and no leaks.  I may not start using it yet though, as I'm still a beginner and my first tank isn't even fully cycled yet, so I will see how I get on with that first :)

Several of my tanks are Fluval Romas - 125 and 200's and I find them quite nice tanks to work with. The lids allow for quite good access to all areas in the tank while still having light available.
£25 is an absolute bargain and you couldn't possibly have left it alone for that price.
