Hi all, you may have guessed that I'm Paul and new on here. Not new to fishkeeping though.
Over the last 30 years I've been through tropical freshwater, cold freshwater, cichlids, tropical marine, temperate marine, planted tanks and.....I think that's about it!
House and indeed country moves have seen several set ups sold on but now, I'm going to just try and make something visually stunning, without spending fortunes! Easy huh? :rotfl:
A 160 litre, planted, low tech community tank is the aim but, a dedicated 'plant' light is already fitted, the RO unit is ordered due to having liquid rock coming out of the tap and, the Co2 kit is in the saved list so we'll have to wait and see just how low tech it ends up!!!
The substrate and bare bones are in and I'm cycling the filter, it was already cycled to be fair as there were cichlids in the tank when I bought it all, so just trying to keep it alive until plants start to go in and hopefully fish relatively soon after, all down to test kit readings now!!
Looking forward to perusing posts and picking brains when things inevitably wobble!
