Hi Richard,
I should have noticed this post much much earlier. What a GORGEOUS fella your Big Mac is! Shame this part of the forum is at the very bottom so not many people actually scroll that far down. I am a huge fan of animals of all kinds – dogs and especially cats, big and small. I have my very own absolutely adorable one. She is some sort of a pedigree (perhaps a “not to the standard” one) – this is why the little thing was abandoned in her kitten age, spent some time on the streets and was picked up by a cat protection charity. This is where I got her from 8 years ago. She is as fluffy as your Big Mac but she is a chocolate colour turning gradually nearly black at her head and paws. To be absolutely honest – I thought about it a few times – if there was a fire and I had very limited time - she would get my priority, not the fish... I will post a photo some time.
I have had a look at the photo again – what a beauty!

AAaaawww, black cats! I have a very special feeling for them. Black cats happened  to become a part of my life. I have been blessed to know 3 of them: one was a neighbour's one long time ago and we had a sort of special friendship; another one was a stray which adopted me and my husband (sadly, died of a heart condition - I still remember how heartbroken I was when the vet told us he was not going to make it and I still miss him); the third one is my little treasure now and she has me well and truly wrapped around her little paw...

Thanks Natalia. Fogarty is a fantastic little charactor and follows MrsB around the house, e.g. sitting on the bath-mat and washing while she's having her shower, and sleeping at her feet and 'stealing' her hot-water bottle. Escher's 18½ now so she spends all day sleeping and all evening on my lap. Both of them are totally uninterested in the fish, both the tank and the outside pond.
