Oooh i think i might have found what i've been searching for on my "compatable tankmate" list. Has anyone any experience of Vietnamese Cardinal Minnows, they are apparently a smaller (3cm) version of the White Cloud Mountain Minnows. They are sold in my local shop as cold water fish so will i be able to acclimatise them to the 24c i keep my Platys at (please say yes) i think 10 or 12 of these little fellows are just what iv'e been looking for, unless of course you know better  :-\

or is it this one?

Therein lies the problem of common names, sometimes you can't be sure which species you actually have

Well it was the first one the Micagemma i had in mind, but second lot look a bit more adaptable, i guess it will depend ultimately on what is available in Lfs, thanks again : )

Did you know there's also a pale form, usually called gold white cloud mountain minnows. They are the same species as standard WCMM just a different colour. There is a pic of them in the fish profiles on here (in the rasbora section)

Go to the Seriously Fish site, they give reliable information. Google searches can produce a lot of b.............ks at  times.

Seriously Fish is where I always go.

Looking at SF, it gives the sizes Aquamaid gave.
