Title: Tank update
Post by: Mad_BMS on October 02, 2015, 06:49:50 PM
Hi all Sorry not posted in a while but have been lurking๐Ÿ˜€ Anyway my tank has just passed its first year birthday and after the trauma of the early bloom, missing Cory's and at 6 mths replacement of oak cabinet due to varnish issues (that was interesting but lot of help from supplier so went well) the hard work has paid off.
We now have a well established tank where angels spawn regularly but the 3 live peacefully rest of time. I was short of good algae eaters which was building up on bog wood and ornamental rock\caves so most recent addition of 3 bristle noses now hard at work and already paying dividends. Our only disappointment have been guppies which sadly all died except one fry which is growing into a lonely male taking an interest in the platies lol. Not keen on getting him company but my granddaughter chose the guppies and she thinks we should get more so may try again.
Our plants growing at a fantastic rate and now sulphate stabilising as well reducing need for large water changes.
Thanks again for help at beginning and while we are really enjoying the tank I still have not managed to convince the other half to get another but never say never. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

It's always nice to hear when people's tanks are going well  :)
