Seriously Fish Knowledge Base Usage

I have never got the beginner search to work either.

The best way to use Seriously Fish is to visit your local shops and see what they stock. Make a note of the fish you like. Do not be persuaded to buy anything, just say you are only browsing as you haven't made your mind up yet. You will no doubt see fish that are not in the profiles on here that you really like the looks of. I speak from experience 

Then sit down with your list and SF. Look at the type of water each fish needs, look at the size tank they need. That will cross out a lot of fish on the list straight away. Then compare the temperature each species needs. Read the comments on behaviour - slow, placid fish should not be mixed with fast swimming fish as the fast fish will get all the food first and the slow shy fish could end up starving. Do any of the fish have particular dietary needs eg some fish will only take live food, or frozen live food such as bloodworm, daphnia, brine shrimp.

This will soon reduce the list to a handful of species, then the choice is personal preference.
