Post by: Freehand7 on July 07, 2022, 01:02:14 AM
Hey ,
I haven't had an aquarium running for 5 years, I kept shrimp in ro water and re mineralized with shrimp salts.

What would I need to re mineralized for fish. I'm think of 30 to 40 rummy nose tetras

The shrimp salts would probably be OK for fish as well, if you could post a link to the salts we can see if they would be.

There are also commercially prepared remineralisation salts for use with RO water. For example

Thank you, all looks like the same stuff. I was using Bee shrimp mineral GH  KH +

I'm allowed to post the link, says no external links.

I know of two shrimp mineral additives - Salty Shrimp and Shrimp King; there may be more. Both make products which increase GH alone; and products that increase both GH and KH.

Is yours one of those brands?
