Python water changer

Does anyone have any experience of a python water changer? Good or bad?
I'm always looking for an easy way to do the changes and save my back.
At the moment I syphon out the door and fill a 25 ltr container with bucket from the tap then an electric pump into the tank. I've got it down to a fine art (most of the time 🙄)

Not with a python specifically but i also use a hose to drain the tank out the back door, though i also use the same hose to refill the tank using a Hozelock tap connector. This is a good solution you may wish to look into...

Matt, do you run the tap water directly into the tank?  how do you treat for chlorine? I have a mixer tap running off a combi boiler so I could regulate the water temp

It was whilst I was investigating, I realised I could remove the spray thingy in the end of the tap and screw in something else, in which case providing there are no leaks on the carpet  ::), I can fill the tank direct also.

I don't think I can use the waste hose as there is a pink/reddish 'bloom' in the hose itself which I think could be bacteria or algae, although its a complete guess

You can simply add the tap water conditioner directly to the tank :) it's not a harmful product as such so ensure that it gets mixed by the water flowing in and your done :)

I've just watched a couple of youtube videos, one using a python and one a home made kit which was very similar.  The python had to have the tap running to EMPTY the tank!! what a waste of water  :yikes:
With The homemade one, someone had mentioned having to have the tap running during emptying and the reply was, once the water was flowing out, the tap could be turned off, so I will definitely be looking into it

Thank you for your help Matt
