Title: Powerhead for Shrimp Tank
Post by: justin on July 04, 2015, 11:06:19 PM
Hi all.
Is there a good low powered powerhead that can circulate the water in my 37 litre Shrimp Tank without chewing them up. I was considering this one but cannot say for sure that it has ample protection from shrimp and their fry getting into it ;(  https://www.eheim.com/en_GB/products/technology/pumps/compact

P.S. Im using a sponge filter in there http://www.pro-shrimp.co.uk/filtration/23-double-sponge-bio-filter.html?gclid=Cj0KEQjwiN6sBRDK2vOO_vaRs5cBEiQAfsnJCUIb3xp3U4WfmW9pcBwI6kjtz-j6-1zk3MUarn-5lb0aApMR8P8HAQ but I doubt that it will create enough circulation, hence the Powerhead.

Thanks

Would there be any way to cover the grill with sponge, or even the toe of a pair of tights? Baby shrimps are very tiny and would fit through the grill quite easily.
