Title: Pleco question
Post by: Rich_D on August 02, 2014, 08:31:43 PM
Would I be able to keep a clown and bristlenose plec in my tank? 250L or would I be better with 1 of them and some otos?

Clown loaches need to be in groups, minimum 3 and a 120cm long tank, according to the profile on this site, so you might be better off with a pleco.

If you meant clown plec (not loach) then I don't see why one of each wouldn't be OK, though I have two bristlenose, a male and a female, and they seem to get on perfectly well. Otos and a plec should also be OK.

Appologies i did mean a clown plec, ive read in quite a few places that plecs become territorial when adult but wasnt sure if 250 litres was big enough for 2 or if id be better with 1 and some otos and shrimp.
I decided on a Bristlenose yesterday when buying a plec so will decide in a few weeks what to add.
