Snail identifcation

I just noticed these little gits on my driftwood! Any idea what type of snail they are? i have a single Assassin snail maybe he needs back up!  EDIT - they are on the branch of the driftwood

Pond snails. They tend to arrive as hitch-hikers on plants. All you ever wanted to know about pond snails here

I had 1 arrive on a plant a few months ago. I now have quite a few in my 50 litre tank. They don't even reach 1/4 inch before disappearing. I suck them off the glass when cleaning the tank.

 I think mine came in with a moss ball i bought last week,  I  caught  one earlier, while the other is  hiding.

Would you recommend getting another assassin snail to nip it in the bud?

That could work. The advantage to assassins is that if you do end up with a male and a female, they breed quite slowly and the offspring are very saleable.
