I have looked at the info on the website already, however I have 8 ember tetras, 6 black phantoms, 2 Dwarf Gourami and 1 bristlenose Plec.
My question is the lfs have only given me 4 bags, is this enough...
The move for the fish will be around two hours..
any advice will be gratefully received..
Thanks

The ember tetras will be fine in one bag, and the gouramis in another. Depending on how big the phantoms are, you might need to split them between 2 bags. If you do need more bags, use expensive (ie extra strong) freezer bags, and double them to give some insurance if one gets damaged.

The main thing to say about the article on here is that filter bacteria are more robust than we used to think. They are embedded in biofilm which protects them to a fair degree. If you have an internal filter, put that in a bag of water or if it won't fit, take the media out and bag that.
Feed less food for a few days before and after the move. Monitor your ammonia and nitrite at least twice a day, and do water changes if you see readings above zero.

Will the pH and hardness of the new tapwater be very different? If it will, take as much old tank water with you as possible. If necessary, take some tapwater as well so that you don't need to add very much water from the new house when you set the tank back up. Then do small water changes more often than usual to gradually change the tank water to the new tap water. If you do even a 25% water change with very different tapwater it could shock the fish.
Of course the new tapwater may be very similar to the old so these precautions won't apply.
