When using the "Thinkfish" comunity creator, it seems a bit generous on it's stocking levels and appears to go by the smaller size estimate for fish, should you stock according to the "typical" size or better to allow for the "Maximum" size as there is a lot of difference?.

The community creator also uses the 'messiness' of the fish in its calculations. Pencil shaped fish like neon tetras have a smaller bioload than a circular fish like an angelfish or gourami or even some of the deeper bodied tetras, length for length. Some fish, like plecs, poo a huge amount and have a bigger bioload than a similar sized non-plec.
On the older Thinkfish, the CC came in from criticism from other sites as being too overgenerous. When the site moved host, the then owner altered the CC progamming to make it less generous. But most of us do still prefer to stock less that the CC says you can have.
