Fish Not Eating

I got my second tank up and cycled so all good
problem is I put a couple rainbows out of my first tank into the new one about a week ago
They are really being shy and won't eat.
I thought is normal for a couple days but it's been a week now and when I add a bit a food they won't go near it.
after a few minutes I have to take the food back out so it don't cause ammonia to increase
Is this normal for moving fish from one tank to another?

There were 5 rainbows in the old tank and I moved three.
They are moving about and don't show any signs of any health problems other than stress. They are swimming around and schooling like they always have.
They do seem to be eating the brown algie my tank developed, or diatoms I've been told, but that is just about gone now.
Could it be they are filling up on that so not interested in food I give them?
I followed the fishless cycle and everythng was perfect when I put the fish in. I've tried to feed them abit a couple times but they wouldn't eat so I had to get it out of there. I thought the .25 ammonia might be because I didn't get all the food out.
This is the 6th day now and still not eating any thing I put in the tank.

Some fish take a while to realise that a new brand of food is food.

and some fish like my glassys grab flaked fish food and then spit it out straight away, slink off behind their log and eyeball me with a 'what the heck was that' expression on their faces
