Title: Biorb 45 -how much space in the tank does the heater the up?
Post by: KavitaMisra on November 24, 2013, 11:45:53 PM
Hi

We are planning to get a biorb portrait 45 from eBay.... Just not clear on whether with the heater in it there will be loads of wiring inside?

Sorry if this is a daft question but I am totally new to this!!

I don't know the exact details of biorbs as I've not had one, but usually heaters just have one wire coming out of the top and going through the lid. I'm not sure how that will work with a biorb, but it must be easy as lots of people have them.

Just so you are aware, those rectangular biorbs aren't as bad as the spherical ones, but they are tall and thin. This means you need to keep small fish and even with small fish you need the types that pootle around. The tank isn't wide enough for fish that dash around - some small fish can swim very fast and they need a long tank. There are still quite a few to choose from  :D
