Hi Andy and welcome to the forum.

I'm not at all experienced with aquatic plants, but a lot of the people on here are, so I'm sure they can give you some advice. In the past week or so I've started to plant up one of my empty tanks, and I've got some echinodorus tenellus, which is low growing and looks a bit like grass.
Do you have any information on the grass (plant name/species, etc.) or plants that they are offering samples of?

 :)

Hi Andy and welcome.

Do you mean the artificial grass that's used as a replacement for a lawn?

I haven't seen this used in an aquarium before.

Doh, don't know why I had a complete mental block on the word "artificial".  :-[  ::)
Would the fish pooh get stuck under the artificial grass? Would you be able to clean it with a syphon?  :-\

Unless it's specifically designed for aquariums I'd be worried about chemicals leaching in out. I'm mighty curious though.

I have seen plastic 'grass' at fish shops, it comes in small squares and you lay it like carpet tiles. Like this; I've also seen smaller squares than in the link.

If andyG means this type, that's fine. But as Fiona said, the kind for use outside may not be suitable.
