Title: Another tankmate suggestion request.
Post by: lynda51 on November 04, 2014, 08:58:27 PM
Hi - hubby has just started fishless cycling his new 60 cm / 57 litre tank....

I know it's at least a month down the line, but has anyone got any good suggestions of what other fish to add with these below... he (we) just can't decide and would love some ideas from experienced fish keepers:

He's decided so far on  6 harlequin rasboras and 4 panda corydoras .... we both love the idea of these.

What would be good with them? A difficult choice due to  tank size (standard internal filter)

thanks  :fishy1: :fishy1:

Harlequins supposedly spend a lot of time towards the top of the tank (I can't say for sure though as i haven't kept any!) and the Cory's would be at the bottom so if you're going for the balanced look something like Cherry Barbs could be a good choice as they do tend to occupy the middle of the tank. Perhaps also consider one of the smaller Tetras such as Embers, Neons etc. Although I'd just add that your water parameters (pH, hardness) would have a bearing on your fish choices as well.

neons i would leave till the tank is about six months old
other wise they wont survive
