Hello All i now got some shrimp 6 Amanos & 6 Bloody Mary's  I am concerned about using liquid carbon C02 would this be ok to use still or will it kill the shrimp or have any long lasting effects ?

Ive been wanting to ask the same question. Just done a bit of research and its small doses that are OK, but there were berried shrimps but no shrimp lets present so i hope someone else can add more detail than me @Sue

I have amano shrimp in several of my planted tanks. I also use TNC liquid fertiliser and liquid carbon in the planted tanks, and haven't had any problems (so far, touch wood).
I got the TNC products from Aquarium Gardens. At the store there are a lot of aquascaped tanks, all of them contain shrimp of one sort or another, but they tend to run CO2 gas on their set ups. Speaking to the store owner he assured me that the TNC was fine with shrimp.
Check that any products that you use (such as fertilisers) are shrimp safe.
As far as I'm aware, as Apache mentioned, low doses of carbon are ok. If you forget to dose one day don't put in double the next day.

Low doses are the important bit. It is when you use the full dose that you may run into problems, and doses higher than stated that are likely to cause problems.
A lot of these liquid CO2 products contain glutaralgehyde, a powerful disinfectant.

I remembered something after I had turned my laptop off yesterday evening.

Be careful using liquid CO2 if you have hornwort in the tank. This isn't mentioned as a sensitive plant in the link I gave but I tried Flourish Excel once and all the leaves fell off my hornwort. It took ages to hoover them all off the bottom of the tank.
