Quarantining Shrimp?

Title says it all really.

Possibly going camping on Sunday and the return journey will take us near Kesgrave Tropicals, thereby saving myself the p &p.

I am considering buying more Red cherry/amano shrimp as well as a freshwater clam.  Will they all need to be kep in a quarantine tank?

I am also tempted whilst I am down there to get my 6 male endlers so will be starting the quarantine tank in any case today, using mature media from the large tank.

The Aquanone 30/22 (30x30x30) will have whatever is left of the 12 original shrimp - I sometimes see as many as 8 -, a couple of Amanos, a few more Red cherries and the 6 endlers.  I am concerned that the endlers will eat any baby shrimp though, should I be lucky enough to get them to breed that is.

Kesgrave has such a good online reputation that I wasn't sure quarantine for the shrimps and clam were necessary. Endlers are different of course.

Any views much appreciated.

As I've mentioned before, this small cube tank has hard water and ph of 7.6ish.
I've looked at tiny fish (I really liked the idea of Normans Lampeye but I think they wouldn't suitable for the size of the tank and apparently they do breed) but there is always something that isn't suitable for the kind I'm looking at.
It might be wise in any case to just stick to shrimp I suppose

If you intend quarantining the fish, I would also quarantine the shrimps.

But I will caution you about the clam. They are filter feeders and usually starve to death in aquaria as they cannot receive the right kind of food.

Ah, thanks Sue. I'll leave the clam then. They are expensive in any case bearing in mind the quoted size of 2cm.
