Breeding nerite snails

If I were to set up a temporary brackish water container, moved some stones from my tank which have nerite snail eggs on them into it, is it possible that I could breed some baby nerite snails?

I have never tried this but according to one comment I found years ago, the decor with eggs has to be moved, not just the eggs as scraping them off bursts the shell. The eggs are put in full marine water till they hatch then the baby snails transferred to brackish water. But there are a few large gaps in my knowledge - how salty should the brackish water be; how long should the snails stay in the brackish water before being moved to fresh water; when moving to fresh water, does the transition need to be made very gradually or in a couple of large dilution steps; what do the baby snails eat, any algae or a particular one?

I have always assumed that Nerites could live in both fresh and saltwater and migrated to saltwater to breed. If this is the case, then presumably they could be gradually acclimatised to a marine environment for breeding purposes. I am probably completely wrong in this assumption.

Obviously this wont be absolutely the same for nerite snails, but this is what I found ages ago when researching amano shrimp.

A bit fiddly, not a massive success rate, but certainly a very interesting project.
Perhaps the amano article will give you some ideas on dealing with the snails.  :)
