I've got home from work to find BooBoo laying on the bottom of the tank. No indication of what the problem was, and water was fine when tested yesterday before the clean & water change.
She was one of the 6 fish I originally bought from P@H when I first started.
I had 4 v. platies and 2 zebra danios.
1 platy became ill quickly and didn't last long. The three remaining platies were BooBoo, Mummy fish and Daddy fish. BooBoo hung around with the danios as Mummy and Daddy fish were often "busy".
She grew to be a big lass. I have attached a picture of her back last February when she managed to eat way too much, became quite bloated, and had the most massive poop I'd ever seen.
She was quite an outgoing character, and always came to the front of the tank when called (possibly looking for food).
Bye bye BooBoo x

Sorry to hear about this @Littlefish
Sounds like she had a very good life.

Sorry for the loss @Littlefish

Very sorry to read about this too but what a lovely little eulogy. Of some small consolation, perhaps, is that you tested the water and it was fine, so at least you know that this was unforeseen/unpreventable ie it seems she died of natural causes. RIP BooBoo.

Thanks all.
Fair point @fcmf so I'm glad that the water test was recent.
Whatever the problem was it happened quickly, which I guess is another relief.
