I knew the bottle was getting low but I didnt think it would be empty! I've just gone to test the water in my cycling tank and there's no ammonia bottle 2 solution left from my API Freshwater Master Test Kit.

What I want to know is if you need to use 2 bottles for a test and the same amount of drops from both WHY OH WHY does one always run out before the other

No, it's not just you. I've started buying the single ammonia API kits because they run out before anything else does. But I never seem to have equal amounts in both bottles. One test is always more full than the other - I don't know why that is, but at least you're not alone!
