well over the last week the 5ft tank has been cleaned and moved to the bedroom, with alot of swearing and disgusting language in trying to work away of getting it up the stairs followed by much enjoyment of working out how things work, its now been filled with water and i have just started my fish less cycle which left me with a little time on my hands , so naturally i found myself on ebay looking threw the fish related items when i came across a 60 litre full tank setup and decided that this would be much better for a colony of shrimp to have all to themselves so the order was placed.so in two weeks i have gone from no fish tanks to two fish tanks :yikes:

It won't stop there I'm afraid. Once contracted, MTS is incurable. The only thing that keeps my MTS under control is my husband's insistence that we actually need furniture. And now that he's retired, complaints about the length of time I spend "messing" with three tanks ;D

:o so there is no hope for my case of MTS untill i run out of room in the house , i need find a wife quick then before my MTS gets out of control. ;D

I can verify that a nagging other half is generally successful in keeping MTS symptoms in check. :vcross:

....then you get a fish-pond in the garden! :))

already have a nice pond in garden complete with nice rockery and waterfall , just waiting for some nice weather so that i can pull parts of the water fall out to investigate a major water leek that appeared at the end of last year :( also been thinking of adding a second pond to the system after someone donated a old pond to me 2 years ago (anything to reduce the size of the lawn and frequency of haveing to cut the grass ;D

Well I have just got back into fish keeping after a good few years away from it and got a 3ft tank in the lounge with under gravel filter. In our big room on one wall I have a 5ft tank large external filter and under gravel with uplifts each end.Guess what been looking at a 4ft tank for the opposite wall in the big room bare tank external filter just for Discus so yes its contagious. :rotfl:

i found a good way to keep my MTS under control i looked at my bank balance :o

Oh dear I am now a sufferer. I bought my first tank, a 75 litre only a couple of weeks ago so no fish yet. Today I have gone out and bought a 160 litre tank with external filter. Husband thinks we are keeping one or the other but I like them both. HELP!

there is no know cure for MTS yet just a treatment that requires a other half that is not interested in the hobby or a low bank balance

You could try calling the smaller of the two a 'hospital tank' and say that it's something that all responsible fish keepers should have. Might work?
