Late last night one of my baby corys was sick.i thought I would leave him until morning, but this morning no sign of him and also had an ammonia spike 0.50.
We have done 70% water change and searched under every stone and plant.
Would the other fish eat him.

Sorry to read about this.
You've taken the right course of action in doing the ammonia test, doing a large water change, and checking under the decor. The only other suggestions I have, on the basis of current, recent and/or past experience, is to:
* check behind the filter, in the filter bracket (if there is one) and between the filter suction cups;
* check around the light fitting (although unlikely to cause an ammonia spike, it's possible a fish can catapult up and get stuck there);
* check the outer surrounds of the tank (again, although unlikely to cause an ammonia spike, it's possible he leapt out.
Shrimp, snails (not nerites, though, which are herbivores) and other fish could be responsible for eating him, unfortunately - any bones from such a tiny fish would be scarcely detectable.

Checked everywhere, he can't get behind the filter housing or even in the filter. I feel tad guilty as I should of put him in hospital tank last night, but being late I thought I would leave him until morning.i hate to think of other fishing eating him.
I'm not sure how true this is but I read they eat their own dead to keep the environment clean rather than hunger, if so that would make them rather clever.

Sorry to hear this. 2 bits of bad news on the forum in one day it would seem. Some fish just don't make it to adulthood. This could well be one example.
It has surprised me how quickly other tank inhabitants can 'clean up'... Overnight is not unknown.

Thank's but it's bit hard on you' once you think you're out the woods at 5-6 months old.
Touch wood the other 3 are ok but 2 are a lot smaller than the other one' who is hard to tell from the other's.
