I wonder if anyone knows of a good fish book that tells you just about everything from habitats to breeding and species. just about everything. A good encyclopedia or something along those lines.

I had the following out on loan from the local library recently and would thoroughly recommend it [sorry, just copied and pasted it from the library system, so the referencing format is a bit awry!]:
Aquarium manual : the complete step-by-step guide to keeping fish : useful tips on setting up, filtration, fish health, equipment, maintenance / Jeremy Gay. Sparkford : Haynes, 2009.

Another one worth a look at is: Bailey, Mary and Sandford, Gina. The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Aquarium Fish & Fish Care. Anness Publishing, 2014. It has a bit more prose in it and is less structured in its layout and therefore less easy to read than the previous one I mentioned, though.

Thanks again fcmf I did look at this but read some reviews about the print being tiny which put me off as my eyesight is not good these days.
