Title: BN Plec and rasboras feeding
Post by: Helen on October 30, 2017, 01:03:15 PM
Bertie, my BN Plec is a messy eater. But my rasboras have realised this. Every time Bertie comes out to feed, he has a shoal of groupies hanging out down flow of him, trying (fighting and succeeding) to catch his crumbs.

There's no doubt who's the boss though. The rasboras look like they're playing chicken, trying to get as close as possible without being flicked away.  ;D

It doesn't take them long to work out the best way to get food  ;D

You'll have to video it  :)

Definitely!

Feeding time is always exciting to watch in a fishtank and what's happening in your tank sounds extra interesting, similar to how my female x-ray tetras used to stalk my pygmy cories when they were foraging by being very close up behind them. My fish haven't got used to the time change and they all shoaled together yesterday evening and this evening, watching me intently for an hour before I fed them their dinner; same with the "lights off" time when their pre- lights off activity lasted for an hour longer than usual.
;D  :fishy1:

Plecs are very messy eaters, bless them.
My two adults are in tanks with various tetras, and in one of the tanks the tetras will nibble at the algae wafer until Bertie (yep, same name) arrives for his food.
Your gang sound adorably entertaining with their antics.  :)
