Anyone own any of these shrimp? Can't see many posts about them. I have three in a 120 tank with community fish that don't bother them. I read that they are mainly filter feeders but mine do this some of the time but mainly feed off bog wood or ornaments. I've tried adding extra crushed flake food for them to filter but no change in behaviour?! They seem ok but I'm concerned because I've read they should be mainly filter feeders?
Thanks!

I too have read they are filter feeders and the problems people have is them dying from lack of suitable food. I have found this
This shrimp should be kept in community tanks with small, peaceful fish and/or shrimp and sufficient current. This is preferable to a species tank as its tank mates produce the detritus necessary for the microorganisms in the filter to thrive and reproduce. The microorganisms, in turn, are carried by the current to the filter shrimp and filtered out of the water as food. This way, the filter shrimp does not need to be specifically fed. Targeted feeding might actually deteriorate water parameters and harm the tank inhabitants, as it's very hard to gauge how much this shrimp actually needs to be fed.
on http://www.petshrimp.com. I presume they are talking about micro-organisms other than the biofilm-bound ammonia and nitrite eaters, but micro-organisms which also prefer to live in the filter.
