Hi @Marcus_F

I assume that the photo you see on your computer/mobile screen is representative of the colours you saw 'in the flesh' so to speak? I just want to be as sure as possible that I'm seeing the same colours as you. And is this the aquarium water or your tap water?

I think what we are looking at here is pH = 8.2. The left-hand reading is off the bottom of the scale, i.e. greater than 7.6. So, the right-hand scale would appear to be the one we should be reading. Please check your instructions. I've never used the API test kit for pH, so I'm guessing here.

Hi Marcus,

I use the API test kits and firstly is the test solutions in date? Secondly I think you may want to re test as I don’t think it’s on the scale. My wife as checked also (who I use a double checker) and she agrees.

Simon  :)

I just used a paper strip I know you lot love those but it’s the only other test kit I have.  Came out as 8.2 and to be fair I think the colour developed to be 8.2 when I left it a few more minutes.

I don't have a high range pH as my water sits around 7.4 so I never replace high range when it expired. I have no experience with the high colour changes.

I agree, pH 8.2. The colour is meant to be read immediately, no waiting like with the others.
