Title: Testing the water quality.
Post by: Jwc on October 01, 2014, 11:12:14 AM
My tank now has 11 fish in it, after the fishless cycle completed on Monday. I'm just wondering how often should I be testing the water quality ideally? I assume as it's just cycled and the fish have only just gone in I need to do it more often but what would be a good amount of time to start with?

With a brand new tank, even one that's been fishlessly cycled, I would test every day for a week just for peace of mind. Then go to once a week for a few weeks, then whenever you feel like it/remember or if the fish start to behave oddly or show signs of being a bit sickly.
And when you add more fish, every day for a few days just to keep an eye on things.
