Peacock gobies and shrimp

I think I went a bit overboard and now I have 5 amano, 5 glass and a netful of red cherry shrimps in my community tank (150 litre).

None of my fish are interested in the shrimp and none of the shrimp are interested in any of the fish.

I've been thinking of adding a peacock goby to the tank, but I'm worried they might attack shrimp, especially the cherries. Has anyone had any experience keeping these fish with shrimp?

I have 5 peacock gobies (2m 3f) and cherry shrimps in my 180 litre tank. I can't say that the gobies don't eat any baby shrimps but I still have a lot of shrimps including juveniles. They've been together for about a year. I have noticed that my rice fish show more interest in small shrimps than the gobies do. And I have seen shrimps stealing food from right in front of a goby.
I have read that shrimps which are stressed by their tank mates don't breed. My female cherries constantly carry eggs, so they are not stressed out by any of my fish.
My shrimps do have lots of places to hide, and as you've posted on plants, I assume your tank is well planted?

Do you have room for a pair or even a trio of gobies? Mine breed regularly even if the newly hatched fry don't survive with the other fish in the tank but it makes the tank interesting with two males displaying to the females.

Thanks for your response, Sue.

My tank is pretty densely planted, with a couple of areas where the shrimp can hide under a tangle of moss and leaves. They have to share the space with the khuli loaches, but they don't seem to mind.

I do have enough room for a few peacock gobies, I was planning to get a shoal of 10 black neon tetras, but I think I might go for 2-3 gobies and add a few fish to my existing shoal of cardinal tetras instead.
