Hi guys, I've decided to set up a small nursery tank ready for when my guppies have babies :-) can I ask what other fish people would put in the nursery tank? I was thinking like tetras but looking to see what others think

Whatever fish you use in the nursery tank will need to be very small or they will eat the guppy fry. And they will need to be fish that require the same water as guppies, that is water on the hard, alkaline side.

Personally, I would keep just the fry in the nursery tank. If you are worried about keeping it cycled between fry batches, just run the filter in another tank until it is needed.

I don't intend to breed my fish Deano but just in case I need to set up the quarantine tank in a hurry I have a small home made foam filter with some bio rings above.  That sit in the main tank with an airpump so that I am ready.
That one is a little squat so today I made a thinner one with a baby's bottle and that has bio rings in it. No fish at the moment as I am still cycling so making them gives me something to do.
We sit watching the bubbles at night as they push my plastic fish around !!!!!

How sad are we.  :))
