Hi, there is an article on moving tanks in the Articles link at the top.

In fact there is article on most important things  ;)

Of course the least stressful option (for both you and the fish) would be for someone to look after them at your place.

Oh, and get more Cardinals 8)

30 litre tanks shouldn't be a problem. Just fill a bucket with tank water, put your fish and filter in that then empty the rest of the water away. At the other end, put warm dechlorinated tapwater in the tank, and add the water, fish and filter from the bucket.
The thing to note is that tanks must be empty of water when they are moved. Water, even an inch, will slosh around and the tank seals aren't designed to cope with that sort of movement.

If the water at your daughter's house is somewhat different from yours, take more tank water so you don't have to add much of her tap water.

hi guys, thanks for the info ,  can i just say that i have only 2 cardinals as i lost the others a while ago and put them in this smaller tank for now as going off for a few weeks ..  i will buy more after christmas when i set up the new tank again..keeping them here is a no no for various reasons so a move has to be done,so i will follow said instructions and hopefully they will be ok..   thanks again ..   :fishy1:
