Hi Peter,

I don't have any experience with either of those fish. I have had a look at the community creator on this site, and  the Aquarium Advisor one......and neither shows a warning or any advice against putting those two fish together.
I'd suggest perhaps using both and putting all of your tank/ish information in, to see if it raises any other warning about any of your other fish.

Apart from that, perhaps some of the more experienced keepers will be able to er some advice.
It would also be worth talking to the staff at your LFS to see if they have any advice.

Sorry I can't be of more help, and I hope that you manage to get a definitive answer soon.

 :)

I have read comments that angels and discus should not be housed in the same tank because angels are more aggressive than discus; angels bully the discus and stop them eating.
And angels tend to do better in water cooler than discus like.

The person always quoted as being the source of the recommendation against keeping discus and angels together is Jack Wattley who is reputed to be the most knowledgeable discus keeper around, so see if you can find any articles by him.

In nature Discus live in small communities under submerged tree roots. More often than not there are also Angels, so the temperature difference myth is simply that. The problem arises because tanks are generally too small to allow any fish to be territorial, which of course all cichlids are when they breed.

Is your tank 15" tall or 15" wide? Either way it's too small for Discus imo, and definitely too small for both if it's only 15" wide. There would be no room for Discus and angels to pass each other. Discus are big fish that need lots of space and no aggression to thrive.
