E-bay Fish Sales? Opinions Please!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to see what everyone thinks of buying fish off e-bay, i love my aquarium but due to long working hours and a part time college course and placement, and not driving, i am left with very little choice as to where i buy my fish, for some reason there are only 2 retailers in Bolton where i live to buy fish from, a certain chain store, and one independent that i have had some poor experience with.
I know i can buy on line from other retailers but i am looking into all possibilities, and you guys are who i turn to for opinion and information so i thought i would see what you think.

Isn't Britain's Aquatic Superstore meant to be one of the best? If you could find someone to drive you to Wigan, Pier Aquatics is good too.

I've also bought fish of Ste on ebay, and found him to be good. Only he doesn't have much for sale at the moment. He does specialise in south american fish, not just cichlids - I got my green neon tetras from him.  I've heard that Kesgrave Aq is good too, if a bit pricey. The only bad thing I've heard about them is selling one variety of cockatoo apisto but sending a slightly different one (double red instead of triple red if my memory is right, and these fish can be hard to tell apart when young)
But I've also bought 2 bettas from ebay, different sellers. The first died after a few months (anyone remember the peach plakat?) and the second is my current betta that has developed a tumour or lymphocystis after a couple of months.

The best thing to do with ebay sellers is go through their feedback carefully. Maybe contact someone who has bought fish you want from the seller a couple of months ago and see if they've had any problems since they left feedback. I've had people do this to me with non-fish things I've bought.

I have alsi heard a lot of good things about pier.
Another south american specialist but rare aquatics is amazing. I have bought from here collection and delivery both services are excellent. This is were my discus came from.

I know this is an oldish thread but i have used Kesgrave Tropicals on ebay twice with no problems, fish are quite small which i don't see as a problem, as Darrell said the pictures are stock ones but the items are really well packed and my fish have been in great condition and always arrived on my specified day.
I had 3 Rams from them a few weeks ago  my Honey Gourami and Climbing perch are also from Kesgrave.
