Have you ever wondered whether your tap water contains chlorine or chloramine as the disinfectant? I have discovered that the 2014 DWI reports contain this information.
The reports are very long, well over 100 pages. But somewhere around the page 30 to 50 region is the heading Nitrite and Nitrate. At the bottom of this section the report lists which areas have 'chloramine residue'.
The country is divided into regions so I'll give the overall website and you'll need to click on your region so see your report.

...and looks as though the (nearest) equivalents, for the other parts of the UK, are available here:

I have always wondered if a water supplier would tell us, if it changed from chlorine to chloramine. Also, I imagine that in times of maintenance problems/breakdowns/drought etc., a water company would rapidly ensure a supply by taking water from another company.
I don't think it's worth taking the risk using a dechlorinator which does not remove chloramine.

The problem is that the dechlorinator I use takes 1 drop per US gall for chlorine but 3 drops for chloramine. I need to know which I have, chlorine or chloramine, so that I know how much dechlorinator to use.
It is just about the only brand on the market that does not contain something to 'stimulate the slime coat' which is why I use this dechlorinator.
