New Fish

I thought I'd post some pics of my latest additions to my 180 litre tank, which is now complete.  Besides the new fish I also have three dwarf chain loaches, four otocinclus, four green neon tetras and two ember tetras (the tetras are the last of their shoals which is why I don't have enough of them).
The new fish are:
Trio of Nannacara anomala
13 emperor tetras - 3 male, 10 female
6 albino cherry barbs - 3 male, 3 female
7 ordinary cherry barbs - 2 male, 5 female

The albino cherry barbs have red eyes so I think they are true albinos rather than leucistic. And I don't have any pics of the ordinary cherry barbs as they have only been in the tank for 2 days and are still lurking at the back.

Sorry about the edge of the tank in some of the photos, the fish had been fed an hour before and were still looking for food.

And the cherry barbs (with an ember tetra in the background of the first):

They look great! Nice photos. I find taking photos of my fish really difficult.

I have Cherry Barbs on my list, I'll have to look out for Albinos in my LFS'.

The only place I've seen them is a branch of Maidenhead Aquatics, in only one of the three I've visited recently. The males are bright orange and the females are yellow with orange fins. They both have red eyes which, according to the chap the shop, puts a lot of people off them.

Taking photos of fish is a tedious business. I sat in front of the tank for ages with the camera on a tripod to avoid shaking. The vast majority of the photos were of beautifully in-focus plants and wood, with a fish shaped blur in front  ;D
