Harlequins have settled in their new home. It's now been 3 days and everything is fine and we are hoping to get 4 more on friday.
Excuse the photo it was taken from my phone.
-
Glad to hear that your new arrivals have settled into their tank. :)
-
Glad that they're settling in. It's lovely how they shoal together - I have video footage of mine at the beginning and it's a delight to watch.

We now have a male golden honey gourami after losing our first one a few months ago now.The female is a lot happier now she has a companion again and both are getting on great.
-
They look lovely together, maybe i should get another pearl gourami for my loner...
-
Can I ask, which one do you mean is the golden male? The photo shows a natural coloured male (the tan one with the black throat) and a yellow female (the yellow one with the black stripe).
They both look fit and healthy and the male's colours are very strong, which is a good sign.

The one with the black throat was advertised as a golden honey male at maidenhead aquatics. The photo makes them look pale I will try take a better one.
-
Shops call them whatever they feel like ;D
The male is the natural, wild colour of honey gourami. The female natural colour is grey-beige, which is probably why so few shops sell the natural coloured ones.
In the profile on Thinkfish http://www.thinkfish.co.uk/fish/honey-gourami.html the pair shown are the natural colour of honey gourami. Yellow and red are man made colours produced by selective breeding.
I got a trio of the natural coloured ones a week o so ago, but I'm still waiting for the male to colour up properly.

How lovely that they're getting along and that she is happier with the new company.

This is big news - did I miss this? I hate missing out on any tank additions, etc. Anyway, congrats! :)

I hadn't mentioned it before, just sneaked them into my signature ;D
I like to wait till I know they're OK before saying anything :)

Don' forget to post some pics. ;D
